Thursday - Warmer and clear.
I woke up this morning when my alarm went off. F had got up earlier, he came back upstairs and said he was going to his doctor. He went off to his doctor and I said goodbye.
After F left, I heard the snowplough go by so I knew I had to get busy. I got kitted up for going out and went out. It wasn’t too bad out there, as the wall the plough left behind wasn’t as bad as it could have been. The sun was shining today and it wasn’t too cold, so I almost enjoyed being outside!
I came back in when I was finished and grabbed some late breakfast. I brought my food upstairs and then ate it. A few minutes later F came back and asked if I was hungry. In all honestly, I wasn’t and said so. He decided to make lunch for himself and his mother, so went downstairs and did that.
After a while, he came back upstairs and took a bit of a nap. His mother’s doctor didn’t open in the afternoon until 3 pm, so he had time. I went downstairs and grabbed my lunch. Today I had my usual sandwiches, but I didn’t have a salad today. I had the smallest of the bentos that F brought by last night. It was good.
Just before 3 pm I woke F up and suggested that he go off with his mother. He did that. I’m sure they popped back a few minutes later as I heard someone downstairs, but then they left again.
I had a quiet afternoon. I watched a bit of YouTube then prepped a lesson for next week and watched the news at 4 pm. F and his mother came back during the news, no big deal.
After the news was over F and I talked about dinner and what we should do. Finally, we decided to give K the last bento from yesterday and we’d go out. F wanted a fish restaurant, but then changed his mind and wanted to go out to Kushibiki to the Chinese style place. I was fine with that.
Around 6:30, F and I hit the road. We went out to Kushibiki and got the last table at the Chinese Restaurant. F had mabo-ramen and I had an old favourite, black fungus, egg and pork stir-fry with a bunch of things to make a set. I got rice and soup plus two pieces of fried chicken. I made F take one of the chicken pieces.
After dinner, we headed back into Tsuruoka and went to Daiso first. Finally, it was open when we got there too. Woot. I bought some yarn and some chocolate, and a pair of gloves to wear in bed overnight so I can put hand cream on and let it soak in. Between the cold and the sanitizers, my hands are suffering.
We finished up by going to the grocery store. We walked through the building and picked up a few things to go with my lunch and dinner tomorrow. Tomorrow I’m not doing my usual pasta night, I’m doing all the stuff that we’ve bought over the last few weeks that need to be eaten! I’m not sure if we can make a complete meal out of it, but I hope so!
We came back to the house and had a quiet evening in. I watched The Rookie at 11 pm and then set up the TV for next week.
I spent some time watching YouTube and preparing to write my blog. And now, you are up to date!
That’s it for me for today. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
