Saturday - Clear and warmer.

I woke up the first time around 9:15. I made a trip downstairs and then came back upstairs for round 2 of my sleep! I got up again around 11 am. F was downstairs with his mother, he’d made her something to eat.

A while later he came upstairs and asked if I’d like to go out for lunch. Of course, I said yes and then we had a bit of a discussion over where to go. Finally, we agreed on a place so headed out there in the car. It was closed!  I suggested going to Moku Moku as we haven’t been there in ages and I have been wondering how it was.

We got there and they were open and not too busy. We had decent meals there and they were on budget too. F wanted us to keep lunch under 1000 yen per person, their lunch was 850 yen and included a small salad, soup bar, a drink and a dessert along with the main course. F had curry with deep-fried shrimp, I had seafood pasta in a Japanese-style sauce. You know, it wasn’t bad at all. I quite enjoyed mine. F had a coughing fit as something went down the wrong pipe so I was worried about him.

When it came time for us to pay our bill, F tried to get his wallet out, but it wasn’t there. He’d left it at the house! I had to pay for lunch. Not a big deal and happily I had the cash to do it. I paid and we left the restaurant.

We went back to the house for a while. I asked F if he wanted to stay in for a bit and he did. We both went upstairs and then F took a nap. I was at my computer and had a bit of a nap too!

Around 4 I asked F what he wanted to do for dinner and he suggested getting bentos. I wasn’t thrilled at the idea, particularly since it was so early. He ordered bentos from Hotto Motto and then we drove over and picked them up.

When we came back, F cooked some fish in the fish grill and I set the table a bit. A few minutes later we all sat down and had our dinner. I had chosen a karage bento so that with the fish was a big combo. After dinner, I cleared the table and F washed the dishes. I dried the actual dishes that we used, we just let the plastic stuff air dry.

We went upstairs and relaxed for a bit but left the house before 6:45.  We drove out to Mikawa and when we got there, bought our tickets to see Spiderman: No Way Home.  After that, F and I walked to  Aeon and he picked up some eyedrops for himself. He also bought himself a drink as he was still tasting the fish from dinner!

We went back to the movie theatre and got in line for the concession stand. We went into the cinema and found our seats. After a quick washroom break, we came back and watched the movie.

Not surprisingly, I loved Spiderman: No Way Home. Tom Holland was his adorable self and the film was surprising and just a lot of fun. I enjoyed it a lot. I’m not going to put any spoilers in if I can help it.

After the movie, F and I drove back to Tsuruoka. The road was a little slippery so F kept to a reasonable speed. Yay.  We made a stop at a convenience store on the way back to the house, we got a few snacks and then came back to the house.

At the house, we came upstairs, had some of our snacks and then relaxed. I watched a bit of YouTube and then began my blogging. And now I’m done!

Come back later if you like and hear all about my Sunday. Until tomorrow….
