Friday - Cloudy but warmer

I got up on time this morning, went downstairs and then had a bit of a nap after I watched the morning news. When I got up I did three loads of laundry and even rewashed the bathmat that F got kerosene on. It still smells bad. While I was doing laundry I also cleaned the bathroom sink as it was looking rather grim again. 

After breakfast, I did a bit of actual work and prepped a couple of lessons for my students for next week. It took a little while, but it is good to get it done before the weekend.

I had lunch and watched Yellowstone. I’m enjoying the show and the scale, but am wondering which way it is going to go. There’s a lot going on with the characters.

I watched the news at 4 pm and it was, as expected, mostly about the situation in Ukraine. I worked on some of my gaming stuff, so I didn’t really work. 

F called a bit after 5 and said he was on his way back. I went downstairs soon after and started working on dinner. Today I took yesterday’s cream stew, added some frozen broccoli to it (I cooked it first) and some twisty noodles too. I baked it for a while and got it ready to go on the table. I also made some nachos in the toaster oven and put them on the table with some salsa. We also had some salad, so it turned out to be a nice meal. F had thirds of my casserole and K helped herself to quite a few of the tortilla chips!

I did the dishes again tonight. It didn’t take that long as I had tried to keep up with them while I was cooking. I stayed longer than I should have in the kitchen afterwards as I was listening to a podcast.

I came upstairs and F was chilling out a little bit. I was thinking of catching up on my YouTube but I asked him if he’d like to watch a movie with me. He said he would and after a little discussion we chose to watch Yesterday. I really enjoyed it, unfortunately though, F fell asleep on it. I didn’t mind too much as before he fell asleep, he kept rustling plastic and it was annoying. He never understands how noisy he is!

And that was about it really. I turned off the TV and F went to bed. I’m still up and watching YouTube of course! I’m going to head to bed soon.  I’m not sure what we’re going to get up to tomorrow.  You can try coming back later and find out. Until tomorrow….
