 Wednesday - Cloudy and rainy

I went to bed late again so I set my alarm for a bit later this morning. I got up and did my usual trip downstairs. However, we were nearly out of kerosene upstairs, so I took the tank downstairs with me to fill up. I did my watching of the news from the bed, but by the time I got back upstairs, the news was almost finished. I channel surfed and ended up at a Rolling Stones thing, their Rock and Roll Circus. It was a tad odd. The music was mostly good, but they actually had John Lennon on the show with a band (not the Beatles). He sang and it was okay, but later in the song Yoko Ono came on and “sang” for a bit. I always thought Barenaked Ladies were rather rude when they pretended to imitate her during Be My Yoko Ono, but they weren’t too far off!

I dozed for a while and then got up a tad late! I got on with my day. I watched some YouTube, ate breakfast, and a bit later lunch. I hardly saw K at all today. In the afternoon F texted to say that he was going to leave work early to go to the doctor about his knee again. Sigh. He’s having such trouble with it. 

I was supposed to make Gapao Rice for dinner tonight, but I didn’t have the Gapao Rice spice packets! Instead, I made chicken soboro, Taiwanese style.  It turned out really well and was quite simple. Hurray for that! I didn’t want to make soft-boiled eggs for the top, so I made a tiny egg pancake for each one and put that on top. It worked okay. Dinner actually got quite high praise. K and I shared a packet of rice and F got a full one. We had the chicken soboro with rice and an egg, salad, and a kabocha/tuna salad that I also made. I was a touch busy in the kitchen. 

I did the clean-up afterwards of course and when I was done, did up the garbage to go out. I talked to F and offered to take the garbage out to the gomi station for him. He accepted, but then came downstairs to “help” me too. He actually did carry some of his stuff to the station, but he didn’t have to do that!

I decided to walk to the vending machines across the street from Komagihara and I got us a couple of drinks. I got myself a hot milk tea and F a melon cream soda because he often drinks melon drinks at restaurants that have drink bars!

I came back to the house and F and I chatted for a bit. I went downstairs and took a shower and then came back upstairs to watch New Amsterdam. 

I had a fairly good day today. I received my Journal today and also got my coupon for my Booster Shot. Whew! And about time too!

Tomorrow I have to get some work done and I may start some laundry if I have the time. I also have to watch a bit of TV to clear it off the DVR.
