Sunday - Hot and humid, sunny with rain at times…
I woke up this morning a bit before my alarm. I think F came back to the room and then left, or something. I woke up but stayed in bed for a while.
After 12 pm, we started to think about going out for lunch. F was kind of normal now, talking about going for ramen. Yuck. Finally, I suggested either a family restaurant or a hotel restaurant. He wasn’t happy with either, but too bad. I finally said if we went to one of the family restaurants, we could do our shopping easier afterwards. F thought that was okay, so we went to Cocos and had a really nice meal! I got free fries and hub had chicken. I had my favourite pork burger in a creamy mustard sauce. We had drink bar and I kept F plied with drinks too. A funny thing happened during our meal. A lady went to the drink bar and got some ice from the machine. Unfortunately, the machine wouldn’t stop pouring ice out! She called a waitress over to help and the waitress was new and had to ask someone else how to fix it. There was ice all over the floor which was cleaned up promptly. Before we left, it happened again, to another machine!
I did a little shopping at Gyomu Supa and got a few things for the house. Then, we went to the grocery store, and I went around and did the shopping. Honestly, I enjoy doing that so much more than going around with F. I tend to defer to F and if I do, then I never get the things I want. Alone is better.
He wasn’t feeling too good so we went back to the house. I had hoped that we’d go out again soon, but we didn’t. Oh well. I spent time on my computer. We didn’t go anywhere for hours. I guess the F fed K something because he finally came upstairs and said that his mother was eating. We relaxed for a while. It was close to 8:00pm when I said to F that we had better eat soon or forget about it. I didn’t really want too much food, so I suggested one of the keiten sushi places. F grudgingly agreed. The really good place was going to close soon, so we wouldn’t have been able to eat there.
We went to the sushi restaurant and got in right away. We were seated and had a pretty decent meal. We did have a bit too much deep-fried stuff, but happily, I can say that I wasn’t to blame for all of that.
F gave me the money at the end and I paid, I had a coupon on an app on my phone, and then we left. We came back to the house as he was feeling a bit dizzy.
There wasn’t too much to do at the house when we came back. I brought some water upstairs and I took down a drink for cooling down for my lunch tomorrow and took down K’s breakfast for tomorrow.
I came back up and a bit later watched Project Runway. I am quite enjoying this season. There haven’t been too many conflicts since the beginning and the designers do seem to be rather good.
After the show finished, I checked the presets for tomorrow’s news programs, made a little change and then turned off the TV. F stayed up quite late, I think he’s having trouble sleeping. I’m trying to get him to take time off tomorrow if he can to go to at least one of his doctors.
For me, I’m hoping to have a real look at my Fire Stick and see if I can get it going again. For some reason, it has stopped working. I see that on a website it is a common problem. I wish I had known about it beforehand. Sigh.
And that’s it for me. I have to go back to normal life, cook dinner and keep an eye on K. Wish me luck!
