Tuesday - Hot, rainy, muggy and horrible
I half-woke up when F went to work this morning but fell back asleep. I got up at a better time today, went downstairs and then came back to watch the news. I got dressed and a bit later I went downstairs to get my breakfast.
I came back upstairs to eat. I had a very quiet day today. K was very quiet, I think she was in bed most of the day. I saw her when I picked up my lunch and she wasn’t dressed. She was still in her PJs. I hope she is okay. I watched The Handmaid’s Tale over lunch. It’s quite different from just a few episodes ago, mostly in a good way.
I watched a bit off the Fire Stick today. I’ve started watching Transparent, and also I watched an episode of The Mentalist tonight. Oh, and tonight I tried an episode of The Kids in the Hall. I didn’t like them when they were popular way back when, and I still don’t. I can honestly say I don’t get their humour. My friends love them, I do not.
F went to his doctor after work so I went downstairs and got a start on dinner. I had found a recipe for hamburger soup, so I tried making it. It was quite easy and turned out rather well. I had gone upstairs to get the tortilla chips and told F that I’d like him to come down in the next 5-10 minutes. I had to actually call him again. It’s so annoying. We had soup with salad, and F and K had rice too. The soup was nice and the salad I think was too. I put some of the tortilla chips in my soup as croutons!
After dinner, I did the dishes and the clean-up. F and I were supposed to go out shopping tonight and get more groceries, but he wasn’t feeling great. When I finished, I was soaking wet and not feeling all that great, so I asked F if I could skip cooking dinner tomorrow night and get him to buy us bentos instead. I just didn’t want to go out. I’m not sure if he was happy about it, but if he is upset I’ll try and scrape something up for dinner tomorrow. Try being the optimum word!
I had a quiet evening. I watched The Mentalist as I said and then FBI International. It’s okay, still not sure about the show. After that, I recorded the episode of The Handmaid’s Tale for this week.
That’s it for me. I am thinking that I might go out for lunch tomorrow if I can get myself roused early enough to try. I probably won’t! The weather isn’t going to be good anyway, so I may just stay here.
