Friday - Sunny but cooler today
I went to bed a bit later than normal last night. My blog update took a long time to write so I didn’t go to bed until later.
This morning I woke up with my alarm. It was a surprise! I didn’t want to wake up or get up yet, but I did. I watched the news and then went to sleep of course! I snoozed for a while and then got up and did a load of laundry.
Today I did quite a bit of work on my ornament for the exchange I am in. I am using a very shiny yarn that splits and is slippery to use. However, the finished parts look beautiful so I’m hoping it’ll be worth it! I have one more part to make and then I have to do some joining and finishing. We’ll see how it goes.
F called me around 4 pm to say that he’d be back late from work. He was still in Yamagata at 4 pm, his assignment was supposed to have been over by 4 pm. I asked him to let me know when he was on his way back if he could.
I went downstairs around 5:40 to start dinner. Tonight I made a veggie bake with sausages. I peeled and cut up a bunch of veggies, got them started in my air fryer and then added in a few softer veggies later on. It worked really well.
F called around 6:30 to say he was on his way, but he didn’t get here until around 7:30. I decided that K and I should just start eating without him. K of course didn’t want to eat without him, so ran off to get her teeth, go to the toilet and waste as much time as she possibly could. When she finally sat down, F arrived back, so he really didn’t miss too much.
We had our veggie and sausage bake with salad and a basil onion cake. We had dessert too, I’d picked up a pack of bocca puddings in Costco so we had one each today.
Dinner was over then, so I cleared the table and did the dishes. It didn’t take too long tonight, but we started eating late, so I started the dishes late. I had done a few beforehand, but it still took a while.
When I went upstairs F was already in bed. He was watching or listening to something on his phone. I tried to turn on the Fire Stick, but the batteries in the remote have died so I couldn’t do anything! I ended up watching a bit of YouTube before going downstairs and taking a shower.
F’s been asleep for a while and I am tired. I’m going to end this soon.
