Wednesday - Sunny and warmish
I woke up when my alarm went off this morning. It was really nice to not wake up early for a change. I got up, made a trip downstairs, then came back up to watch the news and have a snooze.
I grabbed breakfast a bit later and had a quiet morning. I watched too much YouTube and a bit later some TV. I watched a bit of the US Election updates before I decided to have my lunch!
While I was eating today I watched Killing Eve and then last week’s episode of The Walking Dead. That was rather a good one. What’s going to happen to Rick? (I know…please no spoilers!)
There was no US news today as NHK had so much election stuff on during the day. I didn’t mind too much. I relaxed for a while. I knew that F was going to be late tonight so I didn’t go down early to start dinner. I did go down a little before 6 pm.
Tonight for dinner I did baked potatoes in the air fryer and tandori chicken in the toaster oven. I started cooking before F came back to the house. He did call to say he was on the way while I was preparing the potatoes.
Tonight I did two baked potatoes for each of us, with 2 leftover potatoes that I planned to bake while I was doing the dishes. The leftover ones are for K and me for lunch tomorrow. I love leftover baked potatoes!
F came back just before the potatoes were ready, so I welcomed him to the house and told him that dinner would be soon. He went upstairs.
I set the table and took the potatoes out of the air fryer. I called F and he said he’d come down. I finished putting things out and he still didn’t come down. I sat down with K and started putting things on my plate. I did put a few on her too. K and I finally started eating and still no F. I sent him a text and he eventually came down. K apologized to him for starting without him which surprised me!
Dinner was good. I had my two baked potatoes, F had one, and K had two as well. We all ate quite well I think. I was clearing the table when K asked if she could have the last baked potato. Umm….okay. I offered her butter, sour cream or tuna salad, but she just ate it as is. No fillings or toppings, just straight. I was a tad surprised! She had a fairly decent meal. I guess, she liked the baked potatoes!
I put the few leftovers away, baked the remaining potatoes and did the dishes. We were late starting dinner, so it was after 9 pm when I finished. Sigh. Then I had to do up the garbage.
I went upstairs and relaxed for a bit. After a bit of YouTube, I came downstairs and took a shower. I went back upstairs with my water refills for the kettle. I watched another episode of Truth Seekers on Prime. It’s quite amusing.
And that’s about it. F took a shower too and went to bed. He’s sleeping away.
Oh, I forgot. I made an icicle today. I used my shimmery yarn, found some metallic embroidery thread I bought last Christmas, and edged it. It looks so good! I still have to darn in the ends and make a hanging loop, but I want to make a few of these. I think I want to keep some too, but I’ll make a couple more for my exchange I think.
I didn’t do any of my column today. Sigh.
Well, that’s it. Tomorrow I’ll have to do laundry and I’m making pasta for dinner tomorrow night. I’m looking forward to it. I hope it goes well!
