 Wednesday - Rainy, windy and cold

I got up early this morning, I woke up before my alarm. I went back to sleep after my trip downstairs. I had reset my alarms, but then decided to just sleep. I ended up getting up a bit late, but I didn’t mind too much.

I went downstairs and filled up the kerosene tank and a little later got my breakfast. I came back upstairs and ate my breakfast. I watched an episode of The Walking Dead because our DVR went bust and I hadn’t watched last week’s episode yet. It was a good one. The show is going well right now. 

I got lunch a bit later, I didn’t see K at all day. Oh, wait, I did see her once in the morning, just in passing. She was doing laundry.

I watched another episode of The Great British Sewing Bee and enjoyed it. I used to sew, but I wasn’t nearly as good at it as my mother was. She used to make a lot of our clothes and her own too. F has offered to get me a sewing machine but I’ve said no as I already have yarn everywhere…to have cloth too would be just too much. I also wrote some Christmas cards, for people in Japan. I don’t know when I’ll get them in the mail though.

F called to say he’d be late coming back as he was still on his assignment. 

I went downstairs around 5 pm and turned on the heater in the kitchen. I also closed the door. It was so cold today that I knew I had to preheat the kitchen or it might be dangerous for me to handle knives and such!

I went down to start dinner before 6 pm and it wasn’t horrible in the kitchen. It wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t too cold either. Tonight I did mostly easy stuff from the store, but I also did the Brussel Sprouts that I bought last night in my air fryer. I bought them but I hadn’t realized just how small they actually were. They were good though! 

F got back sometime after 6 and he turned on the heater and the lights in the living room. It was colder in there than it was in the kitchen. That was a bit sad for the hot food I put on the table. 

Finally, I got K out of bed and F downstairs and we had dinner. We had burgers, Brussel sprouts, salad, beets and shrimp pilaf.  And, there was dessert too. We had some previously frozen fruit with some vanilla ice cream. It was nice.

I got to do the dishes again and then I did up the garbage. I so love that job. Not. I threw out a few things from the fridge. I didn’t ask as I find when I do I get told not to and the food had been there too long, so…..

I came upstairs and relaxed for a bit. After 10 I went downstairs and took a shower. I really felt like I needed one, but it was so cold in the shower room.  Brr.

I came back upstairs and watched today’s episode of The Walking Dead. It was quite good. Lots of Daryl which is usually a good thing. 

And that’s about it for me. I turned off the TV and lined up some YouTube videos for myself. It’s been a quiet little evening.

Tomorrow I might do a bit of laundry and as always I’ll be on dinner duty. We will most likely go and get groceries too. That should be fun.
