Tuesday - Cold, snowy and windy

I first woke up before 10 and I went downstairs and then came back and went back to bed. I ended up getting up around 11 this morning. I checked my computer, had breakfast and then actually went back to bed. I didn’t talk to F for hours. 

I got up in the afternoon and just spent time by myself. F did try to be friendly at moments but I wasn’t having any of that crap. It wasn’t until he said that he was going to get groceries that I decided to talk to him. I had to go to get food for us for the next couple of days since I’ll be back cooking tomorrow. 

We went to the grocery store and on the way chatted a little bit. When we got to the store, I offered to go in so F could stay in the car. He was tired and I think not feeling that well. I toured the shop and picked up groceries for the next couple of days. I came back to the car and then F said that he needed to go to the drugstore.

We went to Tsuruha and I came in with him. I got myself a drink, and F picked up a few things.  We checked out and then came back to the house. I put away the groceries and then F and I went out for dinner. I was quite hungry as my cereal was a long time before. 

We went to Jiro which was hopping tonight. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but after that, it didn’t take long. I had the beef stew with butter rice and F had the jumbo hamburger.  We were both pleased with our meals.

After the meal, we decided to drive out to Fujishima to have a quick look at the lights. I needed a washroom break first, so we took a detour for a few minutes, then were on the road to Fujishima. 

The lights were beautiful of course. We didn’t go walking through them this year. F wasn’t wearing boots and I was afraid that if he fell on some ice, he might damage his brace or hurt himself and not be able to walk at all. 

We did a slow drive-by. F did park and actually, he did get out of the car to take photos, but I took a few as well from the car.

We came back to Tsuruoka and went to Mcdonalds. I think we weren’t quite ready to go back to the house yet. We both had flurries and a drink. It was a nice time but it got a bit cold after a while.

We came back to the house and relaxed. I decided to skip my shower tonight. I watched FBI: Most Wanted and enjoyed it.

We’ve just had a quiet evening in. Tomorrow F is back to work and I’m back to cooking. I’ve really enjoyed this break from being in the kitchen, but I think I’ll have to clean the kitchen up before I start. Sigh.
