Friday - Rainy and cool

I had a quiet day today. I went to bed a bit late last night…F was away, so it didn’t matter too much when I went to bed. This morning it was hard to get up, but I did. I watched the news and then took a short nap afterwards.

I did laundry today. I did three loads so I will soon have clean and dry clothes. Right now I have clean and wet clothes so it is a little hard to wear them at the moment!

I had breakfast and then lunch. For lunch, I finished the stew from earlier in the week. It was very good. I also watched an episode of Bake-off while I ate. I discovered yesterday that I have finished all of the Prime episodes of Sewing Bee. If I want to watch more, I have to get Hulu. Obviously, I’m not getting that, so I am rather sad about the whole thing.

When F phoned tonight I reminded him that we had no food in the house and I suggested that either he takes us out for dinner or he should get us some bentos. He chose bentos and said he’d pick them up on his way back to the house.

He did that. I went down to the kitchen and boiled the kettle for soup and when F arrived I heated the bentos while he changed. I set the table and opened up the envelopes in the soup he bought for us. Dinner was fine. K didn’t finish hers, F had kara-age and I had tonkatsu. It was fine but really nothing special. 

I did the dishes quickly. There weren’t many and I got them done. I went upstairs and when 9 pm came around I watched The 355 which was on WOWOW tonight. It was terrible. It wasn’t even in the guilty pleasure category, it was just bad. Lots of great actresses…three of them have Academy Awards, but still a bad movie.  F was downstairs in the living room. I found out later that he was watching baseball, so I’m rather glad that he didn’t come up!

While I was watching the movie I did about three rows on my blanket. It is going well and looks good. It is getting quite big now.

After F came upstairs, we chatted a little. He came up with his iPhone blaring TikTok away so I put on my headphones and listened to my new Lizzo CD on my computer. It was great and cheered me up to no end. 

I watched a bit of YouTube while I got ready to blog. I’ve been enjoying my evening. I had hoped to get out of the house today but F was too tired when he came here to go out again. Sigh. Two days in this house is a bit much for me.
