Saturday - Sunny and warmish
I went to bed last night, or this morning if you prefer when the sun was already up. I went to bed and slept very well. I woke up around 9:30 and went downstairs. I came out of the washroom and F was there. He said hello and I freaked out because I had no idea he was back!
I went back upstairs and went to sleep again. F came upstairs too and took a nap as well. I tried to wake up around 10:30, but that didn’t really happen. I finally dragged myself out of bed after 11. I got dressed and hung around waiting for F.
He got up a bit later and after a while, we decided to go and have lunch. Since there was no food in the house, we had to go and get a bento for K first. While we were in the shop, we actually got two bentos for her. One was for brunch and the other was of course for her dinner. F picked up a few other things for her, some Japanese sweets I think.
We delivered the food and then F and I went to Gusto for our lunch. I had the same thing I had last time I was there, a hamburg steak with chicken Namban. F had chicken I think. We had a pretty good meal. When we finally finished, we left the restaurant. We didn’t really have an idea where to go or what to do, so F suggested driving by the beach. I liked that idea, so we drove off toward the sea. We had a nice drive, we ended up in the Aquarium’s parking lot and looked at the ocean a little.
We drove back to Tsuruoka and went back to the house. I spent time on my computer with YouTube and F spent time on the bed with TikTok I think.
A couple of hours later, we decided to go for dinner. F suggested going for udon and I was okay with that. We tried my favourite place first, but it was closed already, then went to the big chain place. It was still open, but not for much longer. We went in and ordered. I had meat udon with tempura and F had plain udon with tempura. It was quite nice and we had some nice discussions there.
We came back to the house afterwards. Around 9 pm in Tsuruoka, there isn’t a heck of a lot to do unless you want to go drinking, and we didn’t.
Back at the house, I put on an episode of Sanditon and enjoyed the heck out of it. I followed that up with an episode of FBI. After that, I turned off the TV and fired up a few faves from YouTube while I did my computer stuff. And now, I’m done. I don’t really have a lot of plans for tomorrow, more a few hopes of things that we do. We thought about going to the Aquarium today, but we left it too late, not sure if we’ll try again tomorrow or not.
That’s it for me for tonight. I’m off to bed in a few minutes, I hope. Come back later if you like and hear all about my Sunday. Until tomorrow….
