Monday-Cold, snowy, windy
I woke up early this morning and had to run downstairs. I came back up to the room, but didn’t go back to bed until F left for work. It didn’t seem fair to me to do that. After he left, I went back to bed though and slept for a while longer.
I got up later and went downstairs to get breakfast. I came back upstairs to eat and spent a quiet time watching news on TV and working on some things for my women’s groups. It was a really cold and windy day and I didn’t want to go out of the house, so I didn’t! I probably should have shovelled a bit of snow, but I didn’t.
F called around 5:30 and I went downstairs a bit later to start getting dinner ready. Our heater’s kerosene tank announced it was empty just as I was getting ready to go downstairs, so I took it downstairs with me. It was a tad difficult as I also was carrying a bunch of fresh towels for downstairs and my lunch plate and cutlery. I put the plates and the towels into bags and managed it that way.
Downstairs, I filled up the kerosene tank and left it on the stairs. I put out the clean towels and left the dirty dishes by the sink to wash. After that, I got busy.
I cut up half an onion and later some shiitake mushrooms. F came back and we had a nice reunion. I asked him if he would take the kerosene upstairs with him when he went. I’d done all the other stuff for him, but hadn’t had time to take it upstairs.
Tonight I made gapao rice for dinner. As always, it gets a bit hectic at the end, but it was rather good!
Dinner was a bit annoying because K and F had the table covered in crap. No one thought to clean it off. I didn’t know that there was so much stuff on it.
I “set” the table as well as I could and we ate. Dinner was good and even though K said I gave her too much, she ate it all. I gave her less than other people so…
I did the dishes afterwards and listened to a couple of podcasts, then went upstairs when I finished. A little after 10:00 I went downstairs and took a shower. It was about time if I’m honest!
I came back upstairs and watched Project Runway Season 20. Oh my goodness! I can’t believe I’ve been watching this show for about 20 years! They brought back a designers from past seasons. It’s interesting, but nobody did any designing in this episode.
Anyway, that’s about it. It’s cold outside this room and I should run downstairs before I go to bed.
