Tuesday - Rainy and cloudy, cool

I slept in this morning and it was nice. I didn’t get up early and then get dressed like I usually do, I just stayed in bed and slept.

I got up finally and got dressed. A bit later, F came upstairs and asked if I’d like to go out for lunch. The answer was yes of course and so we talked about different ideas. I suggested F’s favourite restaurant and that’s where we ended up going.

We had a nice lunch at Okazaki today. We both had their special which was yurinchi chicken and sashimi. It came with some veggies, salad, soup and pickles. There was rice too of course. The yurinchi was good, but there didn’t seem to be enough food somehow. F wanted more food, so I suggested going to McDonalds or Mos Burger to have something cheap and cheerful afterwards. We ended up at McDonalds and each had a drink and some churros. Just before we left, I used the washroom and I could hear the music really well. The radio station or whatever it was played an Andy Gibb song. I was so surprised. It wasn’t one of his hits, but I knew all of the words! I had listened to that album a lot in my younger days. I was so moved to hear that song and the singer again. I was a huge fan in my teens!

We tried to go to AU to see about my phone’s battery, but they were closed today. We were quite surprised at that. F decided that he’d like a massage, so he booked himself one and then we went back to the house to check on his mother. I’m not sure why!

We spent a little less than an hour at the house. I had heated up my water pot but hadn’t had a drink yet when F came into the room and wanted to leave. I was a little disappointed, especially since I thought it was a tad early. However, he wanted to go NOW. I decided I might as well go. F had lost his phone again so I called his phone and suggested that it might be in the car. He checked and it was.

He dropped me off at S-Mall and I went in. I did a little window shopping and I did a little shopping and it was nice. I picked up a few things at the hundred yen shop as usual, I got a couple of things at the grocery store and then I went to the coffee shop and spent a few minutes there. I had some Royal Milk Tea and read a book on my phone. F came back and just came up to me in the coffee shop! I had expected a call from him first. I got both of us a drink each and a nice treat.

We talked about what to do about dinner. We decided to get K a bento at the grocery store, so did that and then went back to the car. We delivered the bento to F’s mother. I stayed in the car rather than go in.

We decided to try a restaurant that we tried to go to on the weekend for lunch. They were open for dinner and we were able to go in and have a table. It has completely changed since the last time I was there. It was nice.  We shared a pizza (quatro fromaggio) and a plate of pasta (carbonara). We will probably go there again. Italian restaurants are a bit of a struggle for me these days since my tomato allergy is in overdrive at the moment, but there are a few things I can eat.

We went to the grocery store after dinner and I picked up a few more things for tomorrow’s dinner. I didn’t cook tonight, so I’ll just cook tomorrow. After the grocery store, I asked that we stop at a drugstore. I went in and picked up a few things, and then we came back to the house.

I went to put away the groceries and then came upstairs. I made myself comfortable and then F announced that he wanted to go to a drugstore! He took himself off and then came back a bit later. I watched a bit of TV (FBI: Most Wanted). It was fun tonight. Yes, people died, but it was about some missing gold and had quite a few funny elements for a change.

And that’s about it for me for today. Tomorrow I’m making stew, so I should get an early start on it. I also have a few things to watch, so I should do that too.

Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….
