Wednesday - Hot and Sunny
I woke up this morning before my alarm went off. I had to make a trip downstairs, which I did. I came back upstairs and got half dressed and went back to bed for a while. I didn’t sleep that well, because it was hot and my brain wouldn’t shut off.
I got up, dressed, went downstairs and grabbed my breakfast. I brought it upstairs and ate after a while.
During the day I worked on my column and wrote about two more movies today. Woot. It’s coming along. Finally!
I had lunch and watched an episode of The Closer. It was fine. I also packed up my passport application, checking that I had signed in the necessary places. I had to practice signing my name! Here in Japan I never sign my name, so I’m really out of practice.
When F called I went downstairs and started on dinner. It took a while tonight and we didn’t eat until a bit after 7pm. It was good though. I did a veggie roast and at the end I put in some wiener sausages and heated them too. Dinner was pretty good, except, I put out a tub of kimchi and F decided he needed rice with it. I told him that he could make it himself then, and he did! Rice and roasted potatoes. Eye roll. Mind you, I did serve potato salad with the roasted potatoes…but that was to finish up the bag of it.
After supper, I did the dishes and listened to my podcasts. The one I listened to mostly was about Broken Arrow, the old Christian Slater/John Travolta movie. It was funny.
After the dishes, I did the garbage up in the kitchen and bathroom. I put it in the genkan for F to take out later or in the morning. I said goodnight to K and went upstairs with a can of root beer and some ice.
I drank my root beer and it was wonderful! The only way I could have made it better would have been to have had it in a frosted mug. It is such a nostalgic taste for me.
I heard K yelling for F to come downstairs so I told him she wanted him. He went downstairs and stayed there for about 40 minutes. I had planned to take a shower so I was a bit annoyed.
I did go and take my shower finally. I also did a bit of cleaning in there too. I haven’t done any for ages, I’ve been tired the few showers so I didn’t do it. I also cleaned the bathroom sink while I was at it. I didn’t clean the area around it because K and F have tons of junk there! I’d throw it out so they might like to move it first.
I came upstairs and watched some Youtube and got started on my internet stuff. It’s been a bit of a busy day, probably good for a change.
Tomorrow F has an afterwork party so K and I are getting sushi delivered for dinner tomorrow night. I’m looking forward to not having to cook.
