Thursday - Hot and Sunny
I woke up this morning and then got up a few minutes after my alarm went off. It was very warm this morning. I got up, went downstairs and then came back upstairs. I changed and tried to take a nap but didn’t really manage. I think it’s getting too hot for that really.
When I got up, I went downstairs and brought up my breakfast. I had thought about doing another load of laundry but I never got around to it. I ate breakfast and watched the news and relaxed.
I went downstairs after a while and got my lunch. I brought it upstairs and ate and yes, I did watch an episode of The Closer. It was a good one, just a bit weird in parts. They often are though.
I went downstairs around 5:40 to wait for our dinner. I did my dishes and then I made some tuna salad for K’s lunch tomorrow. I plated a little bit of something for her too. I won’t be around in the afternoon, at least, that’s the plan at the moment.
The sushi was delivered around 6:20, so I put the bowls on the table and got out some drinks and ice for both of us. I had a salmon sushi plate and K got a regular assortment. My sushi was nice and K seemed happy with hers. Everything got eaten and then I cleared the table and washed the dishes and glasses.
When I was done, I said goodnight to K and went upstairs. I watched a bit of YouTube and then I started working on my column again. I haven’t finished it yet, but I wrote about a couple of films that I enjoyed. I need to write a bit more, but my column is coming along.
F came back around 10 pm. He was late getting to his party and didn’t get a lot of food. I feel sorry for him. He had some cup ramen when he got back. I went downstairs before 11 and made some popcorn, then came back upstairs and ate it while I watched The Rookie: Feds. The show is finding its feet, but sadly it has been cancelled already so I don’t really want to get attached to it!
I turned off the TV when the show ended and started watching a bit of YouTube. F is very tired and has already gone to bed. I should get to bed soon too as I’m also tired. I’m finding the heat to be a bit much during the day. I have my fan going usually and the windows open so it hasn’t been too bad yet, but I’m getting worried about summer already. It was up to 27℃ up here yesterday.
Tomorrow I’m off for a bit of an adventure. I have to mail off my passport to be renewed and I’m hoping to go and see a movie too. We’ll see how that goes.
