Thursday - Hot and Sunny
I woke up this morning when F dropped something in the room while he was getting dressed. I managed to go back to sleep for a while. I woke up again a bit later and made a trip downstairs.
I went back to bed and slept quite late. I didn’t really wake up until F texted me. I got up after that.
I had a fairly quiet day today. I got my breakfast in the morning. I noted that K had taken her breakfast sandwich from the kitchen, so that was good. Later in the day, she ate some of the food from the fridge, which was a big improvement from yesterday. I didn’t think she ate anything during the day.
I had a quiet afternoon, I got another delivery but didn’t know about it so I missed the delivery van. I tried to get it redelivered, but the system glitched and I didn’t know if it went through. I think not, since it didn’t come tonight.
I went downstairs to get my lunch. I decided that I’d eat the lunch I made for K a few days ago. She hadn’t touched it. It was nice! I came back upstairs and ate while I watched an episode of The Closer. As always, it was a good episode and I enjoyed it. She got poison oak in this one.
F let me know during the day that he has taken tomorrow off work to take his mother to the doctor. I think she’s getting a little better, but it’s probably a good idea. Hopefully, we’ll be able to do some other stuff after that.
I went downstairs around 5:30 to start dinner. F came back a little later. Tonight I did a little bit different sort of dinner. We had air-fried chicken wings, with salad, store-bought potato and macaroni salad, tofu, and a cabbage pickle. F had brought back some raisin bread from a good bakery and he served us each a piece of it toasted and buttered at the end. That was very nice.
I did the dishes and put things away. I was quite hot in the kitchen tonight but I didn’t turn on the AC in the living room. Earlier I was using my air fryer and I wasn’t sure if we would have enough power in the house to run both at the same time!
By the end of the night, the towel that I brought down for myself was soaking wet and I was quite tired. I knew that F needed groceries to feed his mother tomorrow so I suggested that he go out without me. He did and I’m really glad. I finished about 10 minutes before he came back so that was good that I didn’t make him wait for me.
We went upstairs and I basically stripped off right away. I was so hot and sweaty. We had a quiet night in. I watched more YouTube and then watched The Rookie: Feds. The show has begun to grow on me, but it wasn’t renewed so I’ll be saying goodbye to it when it finishes.
Tomorrow morning, F is going to take his mother out to the doctor’s office and then we’ll see what happens after that. I’ve asked him if he’d like to go out for lunch and he said yes, so we’ll see how that goes.
I’ll try and come back tomorrow night and update you all on my day. It’s so scintillating, isn’t it? Snort.
