Saturday - Hot and Sunny, a bit humid

I woke up early this morning, I think F had left his alarm on and it woke me up. I turned it off and went back to sleep. I did wake up again around 8 and went downstairs. I went back to sleep a few minutes later and woke up a couple of hours later.

F came upstairs around 11 and I suggested that he go to see his doctor. He really didn’t want to until I told him that I was getting tired of him ruining our weekends because he was sick. He finally went. Yay.

F came back when he finished at the doctor and came upstairs again. It was around 1pm. F and I talked about going out for lunch and I suggested going to Kintaro Sushi. F liked the idea, so we went to the closest one. When we got there, I saw a sign on the door, F didn’t. I made him read it. The branch is closing. He said it is the branch, I hope the other one, near my old apartment will stay open. It is the best, most reasonable sushi in the city. Lunch was great.

After lunch, we headed to the Takkyubin office. I had a delivery during the week and I needed to go and pick it up. It didn’t take too long and then we went for a drink. F wanted to go to Komeda Coffee. It was busy as usual, so we waited for 20 minutes before getting a seat. We both had iced coffee and then came back to the house to be back before K came back.

She came back and both F and I took naps. It was hard for me as I’m still quite stuffed up. I finally got up and went on my computer for a while.  A little after 6 I suggested to F that we think about dinner. He went downstairs and made something for K’s dinner.  Then, he came up and once again refused to suggest any place to go for dinner. I told him that I’d like pasta, but there aren’t that many places to have good pasta. F said that he wanted to go to a restaurant I despise or a ramen shop. He acts like he never gets to eat ramen. He eats ramen almost every night. He makes it for himself. I have no idea why he is so into ramen. Anyway, I suggested a nice place, but F said it was too expensive. Then he said we could go there.

We went into the restaurant and were seated. We ordered some pasta, but almost immediately were told that they didn’t have it anymore. It was one of their specials of the day. We ordered some carbonara and some focaccia. I wanted to order a pizza too, but F said he wasn’t hungry.

The pasta was good when it came and we ate. F only had a little bit, I had the rest. He said he wasn’t hungry. I was still hungry afterwards. I asked F if we could stop at the grocery store after to get something else. Since F thought the place was expensive, I didn’t want to order more.

We left and then went to the grocery store. F picked up a few things and so did I. I got some croquettes and some snack food.

We came back to the house and F was listening to something on the car radio so I left him in the car. I put away the perishable he bought and then went upstairs. I had to turn on the AC again as the room was roasting still. Ack.

I ate my croquettes and they were okay, and watched a little YouTube. Then I decided to watch something off Prime. I watched the third episode of Fallout. I’m becoming a little bit perturbed. I’m not really sure where this is going and it isn’t quite gelling for me yet. Hopefully soon. I also started a dishcloth tonight with some of my crochet cotton. Yay.

At 11pm I watched FBI. I think it was the final show of the season. They caught a serial killer and one of the detectives became a father. After the show they let us know that Resident Alien is coming back in July. Woot! I love the show, it is hilarious.

Anyway, this is getting too long. I’m quite frustrated. My cold is driving me nuts…I’m so plugged up I can’t breathe. F is driving me nuts with his constant quest for ramen and not bothering to suggest someplace for our meals. I always try to give options, he never does. Honestly, it takes all the joy and fun out of going out for lunch and dinner. If he pulls this tomorrow I may just stay here and make my own lunch. I do need to go out and get food and stuff tomorrow so I need him for that.

Come back later if you like and hear all about my day. Until tomorrow….

Oh, that sucks that you are sick! Summer colds are the worst, especially in the heat and humidity of a Japanese summer. Ick!

Ramen is tasty and cheap but it is so unhealthy. I can't imagine eating it every day. Maybe if I were 20... but at this age? Lol, no.

Anyway, i hope you get better soon!

I caught this from my MIL. It is miserable and it is so hot in our room that I don't know what is heat exhaustion and what is cold.

I know so many people like ramen, I used to, but I just can't do it anymore.
