Saturday - Hot and Sunny
I woke up early this morning, went downstairs and came back up. I went back to bed and fell asleep again. F had to get up and get his mother ready to go to her daycare. He did that and I went back to sleep.
I got up quite a bit later and got dressed. F came upstairs after a while and we talked about lunch. He does this horrid thing where he wants me to pick where we have lunch but hates all of my suggestions. For lunch today I suggested about 3 places, and he picked one of them. He wanted me to pick the final one, but I told him I was fine with any of the three so he should pick the place he wanted. We ended up at Takitaro, a Japanese fish restaurant. F had sashimi and I had a mix fry set meal. Mine was okay but honestly a little greasy.
After our meal, we went off to Komeda Coffee to have some iced coffee. It was such a hot day. I nearly fell asleep at the coffee shop. When F asked if I was ready to go, I hadn’t finished my iced coffee so I was a tad annoyed!
We came back to the house and F waited for K to come back. I headed upstairs, took off my jeans and went to take a nap. I dozed for a bit over an hour. F finally came up and asked if we were going to the movie tonight, but it started over an hour before, so that would be a no!
He made his mother some dinner and then came back upstairs to veg for a while. I wasn’t that hungry because it was so hot upstairs. I just wanted something simple. I was having a bad leg day so I didn’t want to do a lot of running up and down stairs. Or hobbling up and down.
Around 8 pm I made a couple of suggestions. I said we could try either Thai or Korean. We ended up going to a little Korean restaurant that we went to once before. It was quite far from the house, but we went in and were seated at the bar. It was a hopping place there tonight. We ordered 3 dishes to share. We got some seafood chichimi, gyoza (Korean ones) and some fried chicken with a spicy sauce. The food was great, a little spicy, but really nice. They also gave us some chapchae which is my favourite Korean dish. F had gone to the far end of the bar which was right against the wall. It was also behind the washroom door. A couple of people went in while we were there and then F wanted me to move my chair. I was annoyed with him. The chairs were high, difficult for me to get on them and I couldn’t just move myself down the bar. I suggested that he just move chairs and sit on the other side of me, but he wouldn’t.
We left the restaurant and hit up a drugstore on the way back. F wanted a drink and I needed some floss.
Back at the house, F went upstairs, I followed a couple of minutes later. At 11pm I watched FBI and thought it was interesting. It talked a bit about the Muslim character and his beliefs. I did wonder about some of the things that he does.
After midnight I watched a lot of YouTube and then blogged.
I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. I will have to buy groceries for the next couple of days and hopefully have a nice day. I need to stay cool as well! I’m afraid of the summer heat coming too soon.
