Friday - Hot, Humid and then rainy
I woke up early this morning because dear F hadn’t turned off his alarm this morning, so I woke up and turned it off. I went back to sleep and slept a little after my alarm. I got up and went downstairs, but didn’t go back to sleep afterwards. I did try to, but today I just couldn’t sleep. I did a bit of a pedicure for myself and then got dressed.
I went downstairs with some laundry and started a load. I brought my breakfast upstairs and ate. I did a second load of laundry too and hung up the clothes all over my room.
It was so hot and terribly humid today. Before noon, it was over 29 degrees in the room. I turned on the AC. I had to, I don’t think I could have managed otherwise.
I had a fairly quiet afternoon. I did see K in the afternoon when I grabbed my lunch. I gave her a glass of mugi-cha, but she hardly touched it over the afternoon.
F texted me before he finished work to say that he was finishing on time as his driving assignment had been cancelled. I suggested that he pick up bentos for us on the way back.
When he finished work he called and I again suggested a place near the house to get the bentos but when F called there was no answer. He called me again and said he’d stop in on the way back. It was too busy and they were out of fish. Oh dear. He tried another bento place, a butcher’s shop, but they didn’t answer either. I think they were probably closing soon.
F called a cheaper bento place and ordered 3 bentos for us. It was fine. I put out some salad and some mini-tomatoes for K and F.
We ate dinner and I really appreciated that F did get us bentos. I thought they were okay, but F didn’t like his too much.
After dinner, I did the dishes and cleaned up. Then, I went upstairs and relaxed for a while. A little after 10 I went downstairs to take a shower. I came back upstairs afterwards and watched another episode of Fallout. It’s a little better, but I’m still not getting it. I LOVED Sugar on Apple TV from the first episode, but this one I’m still a bit meh about.
When it was over, I turned off the TV and got started with my evening blogging stuff, as well as watching some YouTube videos.
Anyway, that’s about it for me. I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. I’m hoping to go out to Mikawa to see a movie at night, but you never know what will happen.
