Thursday - Sunny in the morning, warmer. Thunderstorm in the night

I woke up a little this morning while F was getting ready for work. I rolled over and covered my head with my covers and went back to sleep. I woke up a little later, around 7 am. I got up, went downstairs and then went back to bed and watched videos for a bit. I enjoyed that. I fell asleep again but did drag myself out of bed a bit later. 

I went downstairs and made my breakfast. K was bopping around a bit today. She was watching TV and even took herself outside. I’m glad for her, but I worry a bit about her too.

I went downstairs to get my lunch around 2:30. I went upstairs to eat it and decided to find something new on the Fire Disk. I ended up watching the first episode of Magpie Murders with Lesley Manville and Michael Maloney. I enjoyed it, so I’ll probably look for more episodes.

I watched the news later and then more YouTube. I was waiting for F to call me, but he didn’t. I ended up going downstairs slightly before 6 pm. F showed up a few minutes later and didn’t really explain why he didn’t phone me! It wasn’t a big deal.

Tonight I was busy in the kitchen. I had two dishes that I cooked tonight and some side dishes too. I did chicken drumsticks in the air fryer and warm tofu with a spicy sauce, there were some vegetables and a salad too. F had made rice so all in all we had a decent meal I think.

I did the dishes afterwards and it took a while. I did my usual listening to podcasts while I did it. 

I let F know that I was finished and told him that I was going upstairs to change. I did that and then I had to wait for him! We were late leaving the house and because I was late with dinner, so we decided to go to MaxValu. It’s open 24 hours as opposed to our usual place which closes at 10pm. 

We picked up some stuff for tomorrow’s breakfast and lunch for K. When we passed the bakery section I noticed that they had something new available…Beaver Tails! I was really surprised as they are a fairly recent Canadian snack. I have only ever had it once in Banff! I took a picture later and since there was only one left and it was marked down, I took it!

F and I bought a few things and then checked out. He did the checking out and as usual was too fast trying to scan things. Still, he got it all done, so it didn’t matter.

We came back to the house and put away the groceries. We left K’s stuff downstairs for her and took the stuff for us upstairs. Almost immediately, I changed into my pyjamas and went downstairs to take a shower. 

I usually watch a programme on Thursday nights, but when i came back upstairs it was about half over, so I decided to watch an episode of Mythic Quest on Apple TV. It was a good one where they had a Murder Mystery in a house. Everyone was in period clothing and it was rather cool. 

I turned off the TV when the show was over and got stuck into some YouTube. I did a few things on the internet and a few things on my phone and then I finished up!

Tomorrow I’ll be off downtown to have a haircut. I don’t think I’ve had it done this year yet, so it’s about time. I have no idea how to get it done yet. I’ll do some research if I have time tomorrow morning!
