Friday - Rainy and cloudy, thunderstorms at night
I woke up this morning around 5? 6? and went downstairs. When I came back to the room, F was awake and we had a little snuggle before I fell asleep. When I woke up next time, F was long gone.
I stayed in bed a bit later than usual, but did drag myself out of bed early enough to get ready to go out. I did a few things in the room, got my clothes ready to go out and then went downstairs. When I went to the washroom before leaving, I noticed that it was my leaving time already. Oops. I finished up, washed up and left the house in a hurry. I took an umbrella with me and it was a good thing. It was rainy outside. I got to the bus stop and the bus came by about a minute and a half later. Whew! Made it in time.
I boarded the bus and then got off at S-Mall a while later. The bus was fairly busy today which was a good thing for the city.
At the mall I decided that I’d have lunch first. I scoped out the hotel’s lunch and a couple of other places, but decided I’d go to the hotel after all. Their weekly special today was a chicken cutlet with a mayonnaise sauce. I got a salad, the entree, a small bun and then a cup of tea. It was very nice. I was surprised because the entree had a soft boiled egg as part of it. I wouldn’t have thought about putting one on the plate! I paid and left.
I spent a bit of time in the mall doing some window shopping and then headed for my hair stylist’s salon. She was waiting for me (I was a couple of minutes early, promise!) and we had a good session. This morning I had found some photos for inspiration and she did a very good job of making my hair look like the photos and still making me look good! When she was finished I paid and left. It was worth every penny!
I went back to the mall and bought a few things at the grocery store, then the hundred yen shop. I decided to treat myself to some Baskin-Robbins so I spent a bit of time eating my ice cream and reading my book on my phone. Around 5 pm I decided I had better get moving so I ended up in Doutor!
I ordered myself a decaf iced cafe latte and took that over to a corner and didn’t spill it this time! I sat down and waited for F. He didn’t call until 5:30 or so, and said he’d be there soon. I expected that he’d want a drink when he arrived, but he didn’t.
We checked out the grocery store to see if there were any bentos left, but there wasn’t. We decided to leave the mall and go somewhere else. We ended up at a grocery store and got a few bentos. I got myself a pork yakiniku one, F got himself a fish bento and a hamburger for his mother.
On the way back to the house, we made a pit stop at a drugstore and got some personal stuff and an insect cream for K.
Back at the house we had our dinner right away. K ended up asking for the fish bento, so F being the nice guy he is, gave it to her. K and F both had miso soup but there wasn’t anymore, so I didn’t have any. It was the first day I felt like having some and I couldn’t. Oh well.
Dinner was okay except F and K were watching a Japanese game show that was boring for me. I was gifted with the dishes. There wasn’t many, but I wasn’t in the mood for them! I washed the glasses and the chopsticks and then the bento boxes. No big deal really.
I went upstairs and relaxed for a while. I changed into my PJ’s and vegged with a bit of YouTube and some computer stuff. After F came upstairs I ended up watching another episode of Shrinking on the Fire Disk. F fell asleep fairly early.
And that’s about it for my day. It was a really good one if I’m honest. I hope tomorrow is as good. Come back later if you like and hear all about my day.
