Tuesday - Hot and Sunny

I managed to get to bed a bit early last night and then I woke up about an hour earlier than I usually do. I went downstairs and then came back to bed. I’m afraid I still wasn’t feeling that great. I watched a few videos and then went back to sleep. 

I did manage to drag myself out of bed much earlier than yesterday. I dressed and went downstairs. I made my breakfast and then brought it upstairs to eat. I had a quiet morning and early afternoon. 

I did a load of laundry and hung it up in the room. Yay me. In the afternoon, around 2pm it had reached 30 degrees in the room up here so I closed up the room and turned on the AC. It was so hot. 

I grabbed my lunch and the laundry about the same time. I brought it upstairs, hung it up and then watched an episode of Major Crimes while I ate. After it finished, I watched the news and then watched a bit of YouTube. 

F called to say that he was on the way so after a few minutes I went downstairs and washed my dishes and started to get ready for cooking dinner.

Tonight I made grilled cheese sandwiches in my air fryer, we also had some salad and some kabocha soup from the store. That was what poor F had to search all over the city to find for me yesterday!

Dinner did get good reviews and I think it was kind of cool that we didn’t have any meat. I was a bit worried that someone would complain, but they didn’t. K even said it was “oishi” so that was good! I wonder if she’s ever had that before?

After dinner, I washed the dishes and listened to a couple of podcasts. After that, F and I got ready to go out to the grocery store. He lost his keys and took 10 minutes to find them. Sigh. F loses everything!

I went into the store and did the shopping. Unfortunately, I kept missing things and had to run all over the store to pick them up. It was probably good for me to be in the air conditioned store and moving around, but I felt a bit tired and headachy. Finally I was ready to check out. I was a little over the amount of money that F gave me so I paid the extra. 

We came back to the house and I put the groceries away. I headed upstairs afterwards and relaxed for a little while on the bed. F had turned on the AC and it was actually quite cold in the room. It was working overtime! I tried to make it a little warmer so F wouldn’t be so uncomfortable. 

At 11pm I watched FBI: International. It was okay today. The TV went off afterwards.

I had an okay day. The heat is just awful these days. We’re only halfway through June and it is already so hot. What is August going to be like? I don’t want to think about it.
