Friday - Hot and Sunny

I woke up a little early this morning as I had set my alarm for that. If I was going to go downtown, I wanted to be able to catch a bus. I snoozed for a bit afterwards, but did get up, dressed and then I went out to the bus stop. I checked and the bus was running a little late. However, it did eventually came and I got on. I was the only passenger! Over the ride though, quite a few people got on the bus. I got off outside the main post office. 

I went into the post office and deposited some coins.Yay! I have finally finished depositing all of my rolled coins. I still have lots of coins that I’m saving, but some of these rolled coins have been here for a few years. Japan has the rule now that you have to pay if you want to deposit more than 50 coins at once, so I couldn’t even bring a lot of coins and get it all done in one go. The cost goes up according to how many coins you have. 

From the post office I went to the drugstore. I picked up a few things that I needed and a few that I didn’t. I got something to have for my brunch as well. When it was nearly time for my show, I walked to the cinema. 

I went to see a movie called Memory. It starred Peter Sarsgaard and Jessica Chastain. It was…odd. 

The acting was excellent, but the story irritated me at moments and then it just ended with no resolving of the problems, so I wouldn’t recommend it. 

After the movie, I spent a couple of minutes in the lobby to eat an onigiri, and then I hiked back to the bus stop. I only had to wait a few minutes to for a bus to S-Mall. I rode the bus to the mall and then went shopping. Yay. 

I bought a few things in the grocery store, and nothing anywhere else. Well, except at Baskin-Robbins. I had an ice cream and it was lovely. When I finished, it was nearly time to go to the bus station and catch my bus back to the house.

I caught the bus handily and had a quiet and pleasant ride back. When I got back into the house, K was in the living room. I checked on her and said hello. I made my lunch, or most of it, and then went upstairs to eat and watch the news. 

F called after 5:30 and said he was on his way via a grocery shop. I went downstairs after a long while and started on dinner. 

Tonight I did my usual Friday night’s pasta. We had spaghetti with a Japanese sauce. Today was too hot for a carbonara or a heavier sauce.  I served it rather simply tonight. We just had salad, pasta and some sliced ham from the grocery store. You know, it was enough, and it was good.

After dinner I did the dishes and then went upstairs to chill for a while. I spent the time with YouTube and the internet! Around 10:30 I went downstairs and took a shower. After the heat of the last couple of days, I really needed it!

I came back to the room and watched tonight’s episode of Rebus. It was good. I’m wondering where this story is going to go. 

F fell asleep ages ago and I’m still up. I am quite tired because I did a lot of walking and it was really hot today. I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow. K has her day service to go to so F and I are free in the early afternoon. It’s supposed to be hot tomorrow too. It’s a bit early to be this hot. Ack! That’s about it for me.
