Saturday - Hot, sunny and humid
I woke up this morning around 9 am. I got up and went downstairs. F was still out with K so I came back upstairs and went back to bed. I slept for a couple more hours. I heard F come back, but he was busy downstairs so he didn’t bother me!
I finally dragged myself out of bed and as I was getting ready to dress myself, F came upstairs. He suggested going to a couple of restaurants for lunch and I picked the one that had a drink bar. However, when we got there and ordered, it turned out that their drink bar had changed and now only had hot drinks available. I was quite sad about that as I just wanted something cold. They took it off our bill, so there was that.
F and I both had curry. He had the regular curry and I had the cheese and wine curry. It was okay. I honestly don’t like the curry there very much but that’s okay.
After lunch, we went off to a bakery and bought a couple of things. We really wanted some croissants, but they didn’t have any left. We bought some bread and a chocolate danish.
We went over to Komeda Coffee and both had iced coffees. Mine was decaf. It wasn’t very good. I had wanted to go to Doutor or Starbucks, but F likes Komeda better so that’s where we went. Sigh. I don’t like their decaf and they don’t have decaf mixed drinks like Doutor does. After a while, we went back to the house.
At the house, I went upstairs, took off most of my “outside” clothes and went to bed! I slept for a couple of hours. I did set timers for myself for the first little while so I wouldn’t oversleep, but I did anyway.
F and I talked about going for dinner and also about going to see a movie. F wasn’t feeling that well so he didn’t really seem enthusiastic about going. Honestly, it was a Guy Ritchie film and I’m not enthusiastic about his movies so I didn’t care one way or the other. We decided to go out for dinner and I suggested Gusto and F was okay with that.
We went to the one by MaxValu and got in right away. I had a mixed grill and F had a noodle dish. He liked his, I thought mine was okay. We shared some fries and I was happy because there was vinegar to put on them! It came with F’s noodle dish. F had forgotten his phone at the house, so he couldn’t spend all his time on the phone. To be nice, I didn’t spend all my time on my phone either. I used it to get us discount coupons and then points at the end.
After our meal we went over to the drugstore and got F some medicine. He may have a cold and has to drive on Monday, so he needs to feel better by then. I’m trying to talk him into going to the Sunday doctor tomorrow morning.
We also went to the grocery store to pick something up for K’s breakfast in the morning. If F does go to the doctor he won’t have time to cook. I’m sure he’ll talk himself out of going, but I don’t want to give him any excuse for it!
We came back to the house and went upstairs. F cut the danish in half for us and we ate it. He ended up dropping part of his all over my side of the room.
I decided to watch some shows off the Fire Stick so I ended up watching Murderbot and then The Big Door Prize. I enjoyed both of them. After they finished, I put on FBI which just restarted tonight. Sadly, one of the cast members is leaving. I guess that is life though.
After midnight I went to YouTube and did a lot of my internet stuff. It’s now very late and I’m sure the sun is coming up now. It comes up very early this time of year here.
Anyway, I’m not sure what I’ll get up to tomorrow. I assume we’ll do the usual grocery shopping, but I’m hoping F is feeling better so we can do something a little fun too.
