 Sunday - Hot and sunny

I woke up at a fairly reasonable time this morning. F was up making breakfast for his mother I think. He came up to the room to find his phone and spent some time looking for it. He had left it in the kitchen.

He soon went off to the Sunday Doctor and I went back to sleep. I heard F’s car come back a couple of hours later and I started to get up and get dressed.

We talked about where to go for lunch and I suggested yakiniku. F didn’t like that idea at first, but then decided it was okay. We headed off to Togashi and had a very nice lunch. My idea was to go to K’s Denki (electric shop) which is near Togashi to make a return but F had forgotten to bring his phone. We went back to the house and picked it up. Then, we went back to K’s Denki.

We took in my cord and asked to have the money refunded. It had a loose connection and I had a lot of problems with it. Of course, the guy at the store couldn’t see any problem with it. The new cord I bought last week works so I don’t know what to say! I did get my money back and F and I left.

Next up, we checked out a new store. Muji Store just opened in Tsuruoka on Friday and I wanted to see it. We went over and at first the parking lot was full, but we were able to snag a spot when someone left!  We went in. F tried on a shirt but I thought it was too small. I really only wanted the food section. I got some drip decaf coffee and some nuts, F got some doughnuts for K. We paid and left.

F wanted to go to Musashi, the hardware store again. Today he was after fish supplies. Sigh. I am not a fan of his fish. He bought a second tank today for the “baby fish” that just arrived. Eye roll.

We hit up a drugstore to get some throat candy for F. He’s got a very hoarse voice and a nasty cough. He sounds terrible.

After this, we came back to the house. F set up his new tank I think and I went upstairs. It was very hot in our room, somewhere around 28℃, which is a lot more than I am happy with. I watched some videos and then a bit later, F came upstairs to lie down.

After a while, I joined him on the bed and we talked about dinner. Since he wasn’t feeling well, we decided that we’d do gyudon and bring one back for K. We’d also get our groceries too.

We went to the newish gyudon shop and I had the chicken kebab bowl. It was very good, but so spicy. At least the sauce was.  F had a garlic and beef dish. He thought it was a donburi, but it wasn’t. I thought it was funny!

We went to grocery store PAL and went in. F let me do the shopping alone so that was nice. I got most of the things we need, but I couldn’t get onigiri for F and his mother’s breakfast tomorrow. That’s okay. I got them something else.

We came back to the house and I put the groceries away. F gave his mother the gyudon so she was happy. I went upstairs when I was finished and decided I’d watch a movie. Tonight I decided to watch Fountain of Youth on Apple TV. Well, I’d heard it wasn’t great, but it sounded like a bit of fun. When I saw the credits I was a little sad to see that it was a Guy Ritchie film. Sigh. I really don’t think he is that great. He has made some good movies, but in my opinion, not for a long time.

Well the movie was okay but not great. It’s entirely missable which is too bad as the cast was game and pretty good. It was a mix of much better movies, a meh mix that is!

And that’s been my day. F has to go to work tomorrow, but I’m a bit worried about him. Hopefully the sleep he’s getting tonight and the medicine that the doctor gave him today will help and he’ll be okay on his driving assignment.

Come back later if you like and hear all about my Monday. Until tomorrow….
