Saturday - Snowy and cold
I woke up fairly early this morning. F was still in bed, or he just got back to bed, I’m not sure. I went downstairs and then he got up to make breakfast for his mother. We looked outside and there was a lot of snow. Although I offered to help F with it he turned me down, so I went back to bed!
I snoozed for a bit but dragged myself out finally. I got dressed and started to get ready for going out. I went downstairs and checked in with F. He was playing games on his phone again. He seemed a bit confused about us going out, but he knew we had to!
We left around 10:30 and saw the snowplough at the corner. The driver let us go by and we made our way over to the doctor’s office. We did a lot of waiting and we both had blood tests and then we had to pay and went to the pharmacy.
I chatted with F about lunch and he suggested Arpeggio. I was fine with that, so we drove over there and went in. F got to have his 10 item-tray again and I had the chicken tenders set meal. It was lovely.
After dinner, we hit up Gyomu Supa for some kitchen necessities. It’s an interesting place, but I didn’t manage to get some of the things I wanted. Still, I got a few things, and some pickles too. Yay!
We came back to the house and had to shovel snow as the snowplough had blocked the entrance to the house. F had it done in 5 minutes, I’m sure I’d have taken 20 minutes at least. I cleared the steps to the house and part of the path.
We went in and I put away the groceries. I headed upstairs and relaxed for a while. F did come upstairs after a while, but had to go down again when his mother was due to arrive back.
F gave his mother her dinner and then we had to decide about our dinner. I gave F a few options and we decided on going to the Taiwan Restaurant we’ve been going to for a while. We parked and then got a table inside. F had the Subuta set meal and I had the Yurinchi set meal. Chicken again! It came with some spicy-sauced tofu and unfortunately some of it fell on my favourite shirt. I’m not happy about it.
On the way back to the house we stopped both at the grocery store for F to buy stuff for K’s breakfast and dinner then the drugstore to get more stuff for the house.
We came back to the house and F spent a bit of time shovelling snow again. I went in and unpacked his groceries for him. I went upstairs and chilled for a while until the heater heated up the room. I also tried washing my shirt in the washing machine with some spot cleaner. Unfortunately, the stain is still there. I’ll try and clean it again on Monday or so. This is one of my favourite shirts so I’m upset about it.
At 11pm I watched the new show The Hunting Party. It has possibilities. I quite like it so far. When it was over, I stopped the heater and took the tank downstairs to refill. We’re going through a lot of kerosene because we’re here at the house a lot and it’s so darn cold.
Since midnight, I’ve been watching some YouTube and getting ready to go to bed. I’m not sure what we’ll get up to tomorrow as we will have to do the proper grocery shop and try to get ready for tonight.
