Sunday - Cold and snowy

Happy Robert Burns Day!

I woke up a bit early today and went downstairs, then came back upstairs to the room and went back to sleep. I had a nice snooze until F came into the room in a state. His phone had died and he didn’t know what to do. It was really dead. I helped him by looking up what to do. I checked the internet and tried updating the device using my computer. It didn’t work. I even tried resetting it but that didn’t work either.

F and I talked about what to do and he suggested going to the mall to see the iPhone Doctor. I was okay with that. We drove over to the mall, which was crazy busy today and went to the kiosk…and it was closed until 4 pm. There was a sign saying that he (I assume) was out on a job somewhere.

We left the mall and went over to the Indian Restaurant. We had a nice meal there. F had the curry of the day (Aloo Gobi) and I had the spinach keema. We both enjoyed our meals. We both had two naan and that was a bit too much really.

F paid and then we went back to S-Mall. We went in the door near the IPhone Doctor and I suggested checking to see if he was back. F zoomed off ahead of me and I heard my phone make a noise. I looked at it, and he had called me…with the phone that doesn’t work! I caught up to him and we checked his phone and….it was now working! We were happy, but bemused.

We did a quick Daiso trip, which F left halfway through. He started to feel a bit dizzy so I told him to go and find a bench in the mall. He did that. I finished shopping and checked out. I met up with him and his phone was still working, and working well. Yay.

We decided to go to Doutor so we went downstairs and I bought us some coffee at Doutor. I got him a regular coffee and I got a decaf latte. It was nice. We stayed in Doutor for a while but F wanted to rest. I suggested getting K something from the grocery store for her dinner. F agreed, so we went over there.  We got her some fried shrimp and also noticed the onigiri were being marked down. F grabbed some for his breakfast and his mother’s too. We paid and while we were doing that, I noticed that the Jupiter (Foreign Food Import Store) had closed. NO!! I am so sad about that. I didn’t buy my Worcestershire sauce last time I was there….but also no more Terry’s Chocolate Oranges or nice hot chocolate or teas….Wah!

We came back to the house. F went in the house, I stayed out for a few minutes to move a little snow. F had done a lot earlier but it was coming down again.

I headed upstairs and turned on the heater and my waterpot. I watched a lot of YouTube and then F came upstairs. He said he wanted to go out again to get groceries and have our dinner but it had to be cheap! I suggested going to a gyudon shop and F was okay with that.

We went over to Matsuya and I had a chicken cutlet set meal, F had a grilled pork set meal. They were both quite good and we enjoyed our meals. We left after a bit and then went back to the Mina Shopping Area. We did our grocery shopping there. F came in with me so of course I forgot to get something I wanted (garlic, coffee creamers) but got a few things for the next couple of days.

We paid and left. We came back to the house and F shovelled some snow and I put the groceries away. I was supposed to watch Sinners tonight as it was on WOWOW, but I’d already missed the beginning. Luckily I had recorded it so I’ll be able to watch it tomorrow or on another day.

I came up to the room and turned on the heater. I watched some YouTube and then later watched another episode of Pluribus. I’m really enjoying it. It isn’t the usual TV show. Gotta love Apple TV sometimes (okay, all the time!)

And that’s about it for me. F stayed up a bit too late but seems to be sleeping now. I’m off to bed in a few minutes. Not sure what I’ll do with myself tomorrow, but it’ll be fun to find out. Come back later if you like and read all about my day.

Until tomorrow….
