Postcrossing Cards - Incoming

December 2011

Just got another card today and realised that it was time to update all my readers on the lovely cards I have been receiving.

The first one of this group comes from Russia. It is a lovely bright design.
The sender writes that she has just seen Eat, Pray, Love and enjoyed it. I haven't seen it yet.

I got my first Christmas themed postcard recently too. It's a beautiful painting by Beate Heinen called Geburt Christi (Birth of Christ). I didn't even realise that it was a nativity scene at first! This card was sent from The Netherlands.

This beautiful snowy scene travelled all the way from Finland to my mailbox. Forma wrote that it was a typical countryside view. I thought it looked a lot like Canada in the snow. Could be a scene from the family farm, except of course it isn't!

I'm very happy after the cold looking (but beautiful) postcard above, to receive one from somewhere warm. This beauty shows Johannesburg South Africa. I have actually been in Johannesburg, but I was too young at the time to remember much about it. We were only there to go to the airport anyway.

Ruan writes that his favourite movies are Avatar, Empire of the Sun and Amelie. I have two of those and have seen the other. Yay!

I just received this lovely card from Minsk today. It shows a view of the Upper Town. I liked that it looked like a small town in Canada, or even parts of my own Tsuruoka.

Today was all rainy and cold here, so this scene made me feel a little bit warmer!

Until next update!
