Monday - Cold, rainy and snowy

I learned something today.  I can shovel snow with a broken rib, but I have to be darn careful about it!

Anyway, back to the update.  I got up a few minutes late and watched House, ate yogurt and read the paper.  A lovely relaxing morning.

I spent a bit of time on my computer as always and watched some TV.  During the morning, the fire alarm in the apartment building went off but I ignored it!  Don’t know what happened there.

In the afternoon I finished up my Christmas cards.  I stamped them with my address stamp, and I sealed them too.  I scanned my outgoing postcards for Postcrossing and uploaded the pictures to the site.  After that, there was really nothing for it, I had to walk to the post office.

I set out.  It wasn’t really cold, so the snow was quite soft.  I made good time and got all of my stuff done at the post office.  I mailed cards, post cards and also bought a few Gotochi cards.  I bought my hot canned tea and came home.  At home, I put my handbag in the apartment and went out to clear F’s parking space of snow.  I did have to be careful, and I found that taking little bites of snow was much more doable than the big shovelfuls that I would usually move.  It’s not something that I want to do a lot of, at least until I heal anyway.

I came in and watched a bit of TV.  F called at his usual time, despite having told me he’d be late.  He came home and we relaxed for a while.

For dinner tonight we were going to go to the shabu-shabu restaurant, but they were closed.  Instead we went to Kintaro Sushi and had sushi.  It wasn’t too busy, but the sushi was really good.

We came home and had a quiet evening in.  F went to bed as his back was bothering him.  He’d had to shovel snow at work today.  Poor thing.

That’s about it for now.  I spent about 20 minutes looking for our nengajo book. I’d foolishly let F have it to try to pick his nengajo, but he’d hidden it.  Sigh.  It’s too late to start printing things out now. I want to make a few Christmas cards for my students and also a new calendar for my school.  I quite like printing it out for each month. It means the decorations change a little all the time.  I digress.  I’ve got to go.  Night!

I think it's more of a stress fracture from all of the coughing that I've been doing lately. Still, it surprised the heck out of me when the doctor diagnosed it!

Thanks for the sympathy :-)
