Monday - Hot and sunny. Hot. Too hot.

An okay day.

I did all the usual things that I’ve been doing lately. F showed up around 9 though and brought me ice cream.  Glad as I was to see him and it, I didn’t eat the ice cream. It just didn’t seem breakfast-y enough.  

When I went downstairs to get my breakfast later on, K had a present for me.  She gave me a dress.  I wasn’t sure that it would fit me, but it did.  I thought the hips would be a problem, they were fine, but the arms were too tight.  I unbuttoned the sleeves and it was okay. It’s actually rather pretty, a sea green colour with

flowers.  The only problem is that it might have a few stains on it.  I’m also not sure if it is supposed to be a nightgown or a house dress. It’s a little see-through, and in this heat, I don’t really want to search out my proper underwear for it!

In the afternoon I took a nap.  It was so hot…I told myself it was a siesta.  I didn’t feel too bad about it, K was downstairs doing the same thing.  She slept for a lot of the afternoon.  

After my lunch, I watched a bit of TV from the DVR and then went down to wash my dishes.  I told K that the dress fitted me…we communicate in the words I know and gestures…I gave her a cup of iced coffee and a cold cookie, then took mine upstairs with me to watch the news.

F came back to the house around 6 pm.  He said that he wanted to go to the onsen.  I didn’t care where we went as long as it was cool!  I said I’d go too, and suggested we have dinner there.

We picked up a bento and a few things for the house, delivered them to K and then went to the onsen.  F took his bath, I had an iced coffee in the lobby and did a bit of crochet.  I finished up another square and started working on another one.  Oh, I have a bit of a picture for you all tonight!

After his bath, F and I went to the restaurant in the spa.  It’s not fine dining, but most of what I order there is really good.  F had a big order of the local udon, I had kimchi yakiniku, but without the rice and miso soup.  It was definitely big enough for me. F complained about his, I liked mine.  He made the comment that his meal was all carbs and mine was all protein.  It wasn’t quite, but he was mostly right.

We drove back to Tsuruoka and went to the MaxValu for ice cream.  It wasn’t my idea!  We picked up some ice cream for each of us, then paid and came back to the house.  We ran the air conditioner for a while and F went to bed.  I stayed up to watch Project Runway which I enjoyed tonight. 

And that’s it.  Looking at my weather app, it is forecasting a high of 30 degrees tomorrow, it’s a balmy 25 degrees now with 77% humidity.  Yikes.  My hometown is rainy and 13 degrees with a humidity of 69%.  Can I take an emergency trip home?  Please?!
