Wednesday - Hot and Sunny again. Yuck!

I had an early morning today. I had set my alarm to go off at 8:00am because I knew that F was going to start calling at 8:30 am. He did, and after 11 tries he was able to make an appointment for me. I had told him that no matter what, to not make an appointment for me on a Tuesday. As soon as he got through, he asked me if I could go on Tuesday. No!  He next asked about Wednesday which was fine of course. So, I have appointments to get vaccinated starting later this month. Yay!

After he finished I wanted to go back to bed but I didn’t get to sleep. F and I had snuggle-time before he got up and made his mother something to eat.  I got dressed and when he came back we decided to go out and have lunch at his favourite fish place. I was a bit nervous as I don’t always like the food (too many oysters!) but today I had the special and it was wonderful. It was half-grilled tuna patties with sashimi. They served this with rice and some veggies, plus a fish soup. F didn’t have this. He had a sashimi lunch but I think mine was better!

After lunch, we went to the Internet Cafe and just vegged for 3 hours. We each got massaging chairs and it was nice and quiet, plus there was all the soft ice cream we could eat there. I had a couple of cold drinks and just relaxed. It was nice.

We left at the 3-hour mark and then went to the area around the Starbucks. We went into the drugstore for some purified water for me and some toothpaste for F. After that, we checked out the bookstore for something, but it wasn’t there. Boo! Then, F suggested going over to Starbucks for a little something. There were places to sit today, so we ordered and I grabbed a seat. We both had iced coffee rather than a Frappuccino. It was much cheaper and also very nice on this hot day. We spent a bit of time in the coffee shop and then left.

Next up, we went to the grocery store to get something for dinner. I suggested having a look to see if there was something nice to eat bento-wise. They didn’t have the greatest ones, but I didn’t really care today so I picked something I thought I’d like and F got his and picked something for his mother too.

We came back to the house and heated up the bentos. Unfortunately, F found the plate that I had made for K last night in the microwave. She must have forgotten that she had put it there. It wasn’t cold (or hot) so it had been there for a long time. I got F to throw the food out. I wouldn’t risk letting her have it then, I have no idea how long it had been there.

We had our bentos and there was some gyoza too. It was actually rather nice. I did the clean-up, but it wasn’t too bad tonight. I had enough time to listen to Canadian news and then a bit of The Scarlet Pimpernel. I was pleased.

I went upstairs and relaxed for a bit. I also did quite a bit of work tonight. I have a trial lesson tomorrow for online teaching tomorrow so I needed to prepare.  F came up about an hour later. I told him that I wanted to watch something on TV, which was actually the show I missed last night. I caught the rebroadcast and enjoyed it. I turned off the TV afterwards. I tried to update my computer which took a while and it got stuck in the middle. I had to keep going until I got it done. While my computer was doing its thing, I did some crochet and also wound up a couple of balls of yarn into centre-pull balls.

And really, that’s about it for my day. Tomorrow I’ll have to do some laundry and I’ll also have to prepare for my meeting/trial. I have to do some furniture moving, which I’m not really looking forward to.  And, we have something fun planned for the evening!  F and I are going out, so that should be nice. Hurray.

If I don’t update tomorrow night it is most likely because I’ve had a really good time. Come back later and see if I’m here or not! Until tomorrow…?

Thank goodness you are going to get your vaccine finally! We're looking at booster shots already, having been vaccinated for six months already. Delta is making a mockery of everyone's efforts to stay safe. We are back to double masking and will likely be facing another lockdown soon. Stay safe!

Yes! I know. I am feeling quite thankful. I have a friend in a much bigger city nearer Tokyo who can't even get one yet. The city cancelled the shots because they don't have the vaccines.

MIL is done, and F gets his second shot on Sunday, so the rest of the family is done. Whew!

The numbers have really gone up lately here too so I hope I get the shot in time.

Thanks for visiting.
