Friday - Rainy and cool

I went to bed a bit late last night but managed to get to sleep quite soon afterwards. I had turned off my early alarms so wasn’t too surprised when F walked into our room this morning. I was asleep! My first alarm would have gone off in a few minutes anyway. 

I got up for a few minutes and then ended up going back to bed and sleeping a whole lot longer. I think I was in bed longer than F was. F heard the doorbell and went downstairs. Apparently, his sister dropped by to take his mother on a little outing to her place. I’m glad for K.  We don’t take her out very much. It’s so hard to communicate with her in public and F doesn’t want to yell at her in public.

I got up and watched some YouTube on my computer. F was downstairs. After a couple of hours, I went downstairs and checked out what was happening. F was watching TV! I thought he was busy or with his family, but nope. When F saw me downstairs, he went upstairs and got back into bed. I suggested that he take me to the post office and he was nice enough to get up and do that! 

We went to the post office which took a long, long time and cost a lot of money. Yikes. 

F and I were both hungry so we discussed where to go. F wanted to go to for yakiniku but the place wasn’t open yet. We went to Foodever and had a cup of coffee and then went back. We were told that we could only have a table for a couple of hours, but honestly, that was all we needed!  We had a really nice meal, it was a little expensive, but I liked it a lot.

We did some grocery shopping and then more grocery shopping in another store. I picked up enough food to get us through the next couple of days. I’m not sure what to do about Monday though. We might have to go shopping tomorrow or Sunday.

I visited a hundred yen shop and picked up a few more cards and some junk food. When I went through the machine I must have rung some of it in wrong because the machine called a clerk over. The poor guy wasn’t too bad Englishwise and he took ages to figure out what I had done wrong. I think I made a mistake and took 4 things that were 3 for 100 yen. It was nuts. I gave one of the 4 back, and he took the extra charge off my bill and I paid and off I went. 

F and I came back to the house. I put the groceries away and asked F to see if his mother needed food. She didn’t, so we went upstairs. We had a quiet evening. I watched the news from earlier in the day and tried to find something else to watch, but didn’t manage it! I turned off the TV.

And that’s about it. F is off to work tomorrow morning, I hope he’s okay. I’m sorry that he doesn’t get a day off. I’m not sure what I’ll get up to. Wish me luck with that.
